SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – August 24, 2015 – Fuscoe Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce that Eric Armstrong, PE, QSD/P has been named as a finalist for the Building Industry Association of San Diego County’s Engineer of the Year ICON Award.

The Building Industry Association of San Diego County acts as an industry resource, leader and advocate, and represents 600 member firms within San Diego County’s residential and commercial building/development industries. The Association’s annual ICON Awards recognize San Diego’s most outstanding builder, trade and design professionals.

As the founder and manager of Fuscoe Engineering’s San Diego office, Eric has over 30 years of professional engineering and project management experience throughout Southern California, specializing in commercial, residential and industrial land development and redevelopment projects. The San Diego office operates as a profit center with a staff of 26 employees. Prior to pioneering the San Diego office in 1990, Eric was involved in directing projects in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Eric’s energetic approach to assignments has enabled him to lead projects very astutely and with great responsiveness. His assignments have included major retail centers, master-planned residential communities, downtown infill and high-rise projects, flood control planning studies and design, office projects, plus numerous land development projects involving arterial highway alignment studies, entitlement processing, hillside grading, agency processing and cost estimating. Eric has directed engineering design for such noteworthy projects as Newland Sierra, a 2,000-acre master-planned community, Del Mar Fairgrounds and Racetrack, San Marcos Creek District master plan, Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa, and the Imperial Valley Mall.

Eric graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from UC Irvine, and resides in the city of Carlsbad, CA with his wife Nancy.
