IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – November 4, 2015 – Fuscoe Engineering, Inc. is pleased to announce that Patrick Fuscoe, PE will deliver a presentation entitled, “The True Value of Water: A Precious Resource”, for the American Institute of Architects, Orange County Chapter (AIAOC) on Thursday, November 19 at 6 p.m. at LPA, Inc.’s offices in Irvine.
The American Institute of Architects’ Committee on the Environment (COTE), which promotes sustainable design by disseminating and advancing design practices that integrate built and natural systems, is sponsoring the upcoming seminar. The True Value of Water Seminar will focus on the importance of water as well as the effects of the current drought and the economics of water in the State of California. Pat will also provide several case studies of creative designs that use less domestic water, those that allow water to be utilized more than once and designs to capture water for use.
Pat is uniquely qualified to deliver this informative presentation. He is the founder and CEO of Fuscoe Engineering, Inc. and over the course of his 35-year career, Pat has been the lead engineer on milestone assignments throughout Southern California. He initiates planning for all of Fuscoe Engineering’s larger projects, overseeing the progress of each development and offering creative direction, guidance and support. Pat’s years of practice have led him to realize the value of full circle thinking® and the practicality of using a more eco-adaptive® approach to engineering by thoughtfully integrating the built into the natural environment in a creative and responsive manner. To that end, he added a Water Practice Group to the Fuscoe team that offers water quality, stormwater management and wetland restoration services to Fuscoe’s clientele. Pat also serves on the Board of Directors of the Ocean Institute, a community-based, non-profit charitable organization that educates 350,000 visitors annually through over 60 marine science and maritime history programs. Pat has been recognized with numerous awards over the years, including ASCE-OC’s Engineer of the Year Award, Orange County Business Journal’s Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award and various Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
