Hanover’s three mid-rise apartment projects in downtown Los Angeles are now open
Developed by Hanover Company, the three mid-rise apartments located at Olympic and Hill Street and Olympic and Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles are now open. Designed by TCA Architects, the three buildings consist of seven-to-eight-story buildings, with more than 800 combined units that are configured of wood frame construction above the second floor concrete podium. The buildings each sit above two-and-a-half levels of subterranean parking and ground level retail. The typical property amenities include a fitness center, pool, rooftop decks, screening rooms and bike parking. The first two projects, Hanover South Park and Hanover Grand Avenue, opened last year, followed by Hanover Olympic this year.
Fuscoe provided comprehensive civil engineering, as well as surveying and mapping services for all three projects. The Fuscoe team engineered a unique stormwater pollution mitigation solution that captures rainfall and disperses it into the soil directly beneath the structures without compromising their foundations or flooding the buildings’ subterranean levels. This full circle thinking® solution allowed the developer to maximize each building’s footprint and has become the preferred LID/SUSMP model for urban/infill projects when building space preservation is critically needed. The collective civil scope included both on-site and adjacent off-site street and utility improvements.
