Develop storm water and sewer manual for clients by conducting site visits, research, interviews, and compiling data.
Assist with the preparation of SUSMP’s/WQMP’s, to include plan checking.
Prepare Storm Water Pollution Plans (SWPPPs) including reviewing construction drawings, developing erosion and sediment control plans, report preparation, and conducting site inspections and storm water sampling during rain events.
Conduct construction, industrial, commercial, and municipal inspections for storm water compliance. Training will be provided until sufficient experience is obtained to perform without assistance.
Education, Experience & Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have any combination of a Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Planning or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university. Master’s Degree in similarly related field preferred. One to two years of experience in storm water or land development desired. Understanding of water quality and watershed processes, as well as the principles of chemistry, biology, and hydrology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint desired.
