Project Description

Cal Poly Pomona Pedestrian Safety Program

This project involved surface improvement planning for and construction of a pedestrian safety project on the campus of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

To better accommodate its student and staff population of over 50,000 people, this sprawling 1,196-acre campus sought to resolve a number of traffic issues. Project goals included traffic calming, improving circulation and separating pedestrian from vehicular traffic.

The project work included design of pedestrian promenades, street realignment, significant improvements to three parking lots, a traffic signal and construction of drainage improvements.
