Project Description
Loreto Beach Bahia Aqua Verde
This project entailed development of a fishing village, marina, hotel and twenty luxury single-family residential lots on the Sea of Cortez in the Gulf of California in Mexico. The 4,500-acre project spans 10 miles of coastline in the Baja California desert, so site challenges included its remote location with access by water only, as well as communication difficulties due to a lack of cellular service, with contact limited to satellite phone systems and radios.
The Fuscoe team created an accurate topographic map for planning purposes as well as provided the preliminary engineering studies needed for design of new all-weather access water system routing and development yield. The team’s services included aerial topography for land and roads layout, ground control, orthophotography, view simulations and site infrastructure planning. The logistics of the GPS survey had to be perfectly “choreographed” and included local Inegi GPS stations and was ultimately tied to the Inegi Network of Continuously Operating Reference Stations from the active National Geodesic Network. For enhanced productivity and efficiency, the Fuscoe staff utilized ProjectSpace web-based software to streamline project management, team collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
