Mary’s Shelter IV was HomeAid Orange County’s 41st project and a shelter development venture that provides 24 beds for 12 moms and their children, plus classrooms, a childcare center and training office. This non-profit shelter serves pregnant minors with babies, who are often without family support. The 7,200 sq. ft. building located on a half acre residential infill site cost approximately $1.09 million. HomeAid was founded in 1989 by the leadership of the Orange County Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California.
Fuscoe Engineering was pleased to furnish comprehensive pro bono civil engineering services for this very worthy project. The Fuscoe team provided sewer, water, and grading plans for the site. Agency coordination entailed contact with the County of Orange.
