Project Description
Nogales High School Revival Project
As part of the Nogales High School campus “Revival” campaign, four outdated buildings were demolished to make way for new construction. The 60,000 sf redevelopment consists of a modern two-story classroom and administrative building, a high-volume multi-purpose building, outdoor stage area, single-story food service building and a “Super Room” with four individual classrooms that open up into one expansive area for meetings. The project will also include new outdoor student spaces and a redesigned parking lot.
The Fuscoe team is providing design development and construction documents. The biggest civil engineering challenge entailed relocation of an existing 8’ X 8’ Los Angeles County Flood Control box culvert. A 466 LF section of the new culvert was rerouted to avoid the new building construction. The work effort included structural design, hydraulic calculations, plan design and processing.
