The 1.2 acre Hanover Olympic mixed-use project, designed by TCA Architects, consists of an eight-story luxury apartment building with 263 units and 14,500 s.f. of retail space at ground level. The building sits above two-and-a-half levels of subterranean parking and features a pool/amenity deck on the top floor. The apartment units are configured of wood frame construction above the second floor concrete podium. To limit parking space, Hanover Olympic has joined in utilizing the city’s bicycle parking ordinance to cut down on costly automobile accommodations.
Fuscoe is providing full civil engineering, surveying and mapping services. The Fuscoe team devised unique SUSMP and LID/SUSMP designs that require dry wells for on-site infiltration objectives. The dry wells are engineered to allow infiltrating stormwater beneath the building without flooding its subterranean floors or compromising the structural foundation. This full circle thinking® solution permits the developer to maximize the structure’s footprint and has been established as a model for multiple downtown Los Angeles properties.
