The Landing at Walnut Creek

Fuscoe is providing preliminary civil and survey services for The Landing at Walnut Creek, a residential Low Impact Development (LID) project with hydromodification. This 239,500 s.f. upscale residential complex will comprise 141 apartment units on two parcels totaling 1.55 acres. Located on Ygnacio Valley Road at the freeway off-ramp across from a convenient BART station, The Landing at Walnut Creek TOD will consist of one building with four residential levels above two garage parking levels accommodating 185 stalls. In addition to survey work, the Fuscoe staff is providing a due diligence report, conditional use permit and design review submittal, and stormwater control plans/report with hydromodification. Project challenges include high intensity land use surrounded by existing development; grade differentials; existing utility easements; and City right-of-way dedications for increasing the width of existing public walkways in addition to a future overhead pedestrian crossing. Design solutions entail the use of setbacks and a grade differential sufficient to accommodate natural LID stormwater treatment areas.
