Project Description

Caltrans District 7 Headquarters

The massive LEED Silver Caltrans District 7 headquarters building sits on a whole city block and is the latest centerpiece of Los Angeles’ downtown renaissance. The thirteen-story, 712K s.f. building, notable as the first State Department of General Services project to be built using the Design/Build process, includes workspace for 2,282 employees as well as three and a half levels of below grade parking for 1,149 vehicles. Open-air plazas complement the conference center, public cafeteria and on-site childcare center. The project received the full measure of Fuscoe’s civil, land surveying and mapping services, and construction was completed on schedule and within a budget of approximately $190 million.
