Project Description
Goodman Logistics Center – Oakland
Conventional services one would expect for a project of this magnitude were provided; however, due to the project’s proximity to San Leandro Bay and an adjacent wildlife/aquatic bird sanctuary, water quality, utilizing methods that mimic nature to the extent possible, was of the utmost consideration. Fuscoe’s staff members and water quality scientists were ever mindful of environmental impacts throughout the design process. The Fuscoe team also took great care in controlling project costs, and through innovative engineering, was able to incorporate existing water quality features into the project design. In addition, special soil remediation, in the form of both deep dynamic compaction and surcharging, was used to consolidate bay mud on this reclaimed site.
