Imperial Solar Energy Center South
Located on approximately 900 acres of agricultural land near the city of El Centro at the intersection of Pulliam and Anza Roads, the Imperial Solar Energy Center South was developed by CSOLAR IV South, LLC – a division of Tenaska Solar Ventures. The Imperial Solar Energy Center South is fixed-tilt thin film photovoltaic solar power generating system with a capacity of approximately 130 megawatts (MW) of electricity. When operating at peak performance, it will produce enough electricity to met the needs of approximately 44,000 California homes. ISEC South was the first large (>100MW) utility-scale solar power plant to obtain construction permits in Imperial County and is the first project to deliver renewable energy to the Sunrise Powerlink.
