The Village at Westfield Topanga

Located between Westfield Topanga and Westfield Promenade in the heart of Warner Center, The Village at Westfield Topanga is a dynamic mixed-use project designed to be a community destination and gathering place in the heart of the West Valley. Anchored by a new Costco Warehouse and gasoline station, the project includes over one million square feet of uses on 30.67 acres of under-utilized land within Warner Center. The Village features outdoor open spaces, pedestrian-friendly access to and amid the site, as well as bike lanes, transit stops and water features alongside a blend of new retail shops, restaurants and offices. All uses in The Village meet LEED certification standards, including progressive stormwater quality best management practices such as rainwater harvesting and reuse for irrigation, infiltration to recharge groundwater aquifers, permeable pavements, biofiltration planters and on-site detention to reduce the stormwater peak flows leaving the site.

Fuscoe Engineering is providing engineering and survey services from conceptual design through construction administration and will remain an integral part of the development up to grand opening. The desired site plan and relationship of programmatic elements requires intricate grading design and a surgical execution of the underground utility network to service all the proposed facilities. Fuscoe relies heavily on AutoDesk Civil3D software to create the massive underground utility network model for conflict resolution as well as for creating surface models for earthworks and other uses.
