Jurupa Medical Office
Jurupa Valley, CA | The Boureston Companies

Designed by Pings & Associates to be LEED certified, the 38,000 sf clinic occupies a 3.9 acre site. The entrance to the building is along the western edge of the site and leads to a main waiting area. Surrounding the main waiting area are exam rooms, offices, storage rooms, a WIC (women, infants and children) store, pharmacy and conference/meeting rooms. Bioretention basins are installed along the north, west and south sides of the building and in the parking medians. The bioretention basins slow runoff and filter pollutants. Storm drains connect to a new 30-inch drain located along the southern site boundary, and to the existing Bly Mission Channel to the west. The Fuscoe team provided full civil engineering services for this project.

Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center
Harbor City, CA | HMC Architects

To meet rising demands, this new $183M medical center brings a higher level of healthcare to its patient community. This four-phase project consisted of redevelopment of an existing 7.14-acre medical center site and included construction of a new four-story hospital/medical center building with parking and landscape areas, new emergency generator, and water and sewer tanks. Fuscoe Engineering provided project design/construction documents for all phases, including processing “B” permit plans through City of Los Angeles for off-site improvement plans and 3D modeling of site utilities for coordination purposes.

San Fernando, CA | Abbott Construction for LA County Public Works

This County of Los Angeles design-build project is a new single-story mental health building, located on the former site of the San Fernando Courthouse Annex building. The 17,500 sf Center, designed by SWA Architects, includes waiting and reception areas, counseling rooms, administrative offices, cubicle spaces and a central courtyard patio, as well as group therapy and conference rooms. The project is LEED v4 BD+C Gold certified. Fuscoe Engineering provided an array of services for this project, including demolition, grading, drainage, sewer, water and erosion control plans; supplemental field survey work; a SWPPP; and a LID Plan with LID BMP Certification.

El Centro, CA | Pacific Medical Buildings (PMB)

Fuscoe Engineering capitalized on its prior work performed for this site when it was being developed as a commercial project. In the planning and design phase for the new 44,000 sf medical office project, designed by Nadel Architecture + Planning, Fuscoe applied its detailed knowledge of existing infrastructure as-built conditions to fit the new project into the site. Also, most of Fuscoe’s prior plans, including stormwater BMPs, only required minor modifications to meet current stormwater regulatory requirements. Fuscoe Engineering provided many services for this project including: survey and mapping, civil engineering entitlements, SWPPP support, and final engineering, including grading, utilities, site and stormwater design. The new facility programs include Primary Care, Pediatrics, Imaging, OB/GYN, Dental and Administration services.
