The developer, Trammell Crow Residential, applied a “Modern Agrarian” theme to the site, using the simple geometry of the barn form, metal roofs and black iron detailing.

The Alexan Kendry Apartments, designed by Architecture Design Collaborative, are located on a 6.27-acre site near the lively, walkable Montclair Plaza and Transit Center district. The Alexan Kendry features 211 luxury apartments in six 3-story buildings, a leasing office and 314 parking spaces. The apartment amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, outdoor grilling areas, fire pits, dog park and raised planter boxes for resident usage.
