Dubbed California’s first “100% Sustainable Utility EcoCampus”, the City of Burbank Water & Power’s new LEED® Platinum certified water facility opened to public acclaim as a model of conservation and energy efficiency.
To make the 3.2-acre EcoCampus a zero-discharge site, Fuscoe developed an environmental drainage master plan with a unique water filtration system, which captures local stormwater and then filters and recycles it throughout the city. This technique maximizes the usability of non-potable water within the municipality’s public spaces for irrigation and other uses.
