The Festival of Arts is an iconic Orange County cultural landmark which is internationally renowned. Thousands visit annually to enjoy its Pageant of the Masters and meander through art exhibits and crafts offered by local artisans.
Fuscoe designed integrated, cost-effective solutions that addressed the project’s accessibility and water quality issues. These concerns were resolved through a combination of tightly specified, porous concrete sidewalks underlain with infiltration galleries within the State right-of-way and biofiltration planters in the parking lot/plaza planting areas. Fuscoe also coordinated the maintenance agreements between Caltrans and City of Laguna Beach, and water/drought issues with Laguna Beach County Water District, the landscaping consultant and Caltrans.
