Loma Linda Veterans Village

Meta Housing Corporation

This award-winning 87-unit affordable apartment community was built to serve homeless veterans and low-income veteran families.

The three-story buildings, designed by Y&M Architects, offer a mix of one, two- and three-bedroom layouts to accommodate the needs of different sized families. Extensive utility coordination was necessary as both gas and power distribution lines ran across the undeveloped site. Both systems needed to be realigned and the site plan integrated with the utilities. In addition, the south boundary of the project is adjacent to the BNSF main rail line leading out of the Los Angeles Metro area. A sound wall was coordinated with the railroad and erected to help mitigate noise from freight trains.
