Maruta Gardner Playground

The renovated half-acre Maruta Gardner Playground was part of the improvements made to Bonita Cove Park.

Modifications include sidewalk and pedestrian curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards, replacement of the comfort station, a new shade structure and enhanced security lighting. Fuscoe worked with the City of San Diego to qualify the project as a Standard Development Project to avoid stringent storm water requirements by utilizing permeable concrete and infiltration below the play surfaces.
