Springbok 3 Solar Farm

D.H. Blattner & Sons, Inc.

This impressive project is one of the world’s largest PV solar farms. On a typical day, the Springbok Cluster delivers about 10% of the power needed for the City of Los Angeles and is the first place in the country where solar energy beats the price of fossil fuels.

Fuscoe Engineering joined the Springbok 3 team early in the pre-design phase by providing research and coordination. In a careful analysis and review of the preliminary design, Fuscoe was able to protect residents downstream by retaining runoff on-site. Fuscoe’s full circle thinking® solution included grading a berm to direct flow into a retention basin. This solution resulted in satisfied neighbors that remained unaffected by the site development.
