Villa Serena

National CORE

Villa Serena, a collaborative effort by National CORE, City of San Marcos, and County of San Diego, transforms 1970s apartments into a modern, affordable community.

During construction, SDGE (San Diego Gas & Electric) announced that a work order could not be issued without a supplemental CPUC (California’s Public Utilities Commission) Section 851 application and approval. To not jeopardize our client’s occupancy deadline, a solution was developed and applied by our survey team within 1.5 weeks that allowed SDGE to redesign mast arms and move wires all to one side of all poles within 4 months. This solution prevented construction delays and costly expenses.
