The Groves – A Remarkable Master Planned Community

A History of Success

The Groves in Whittier, formerly the site of citrus orchards and the 100+ year-old Fred C. Nelles State School, is a vibrant new 75-acre master planned community developed by Brookfield Residential. An award winning homebuilder and industry leader with an excellent reputation for quality, design and customer service, Brookfield Residential’s Southern California team was passionate about preserving and creating a remarkable community.

Fuscoe provided comprehensive services including:

Stormwater Vault

Aerial Construction Monitoring

Repurposed History

The Groves’ Heritage Trail meanders past distinctive homes, parks, retail and artfully repurposed historic buildings, including a creatively landscaped chapel, dubbed The Commons, which has been reimagined as a recreation center.

Successful Reuse

The Groves is a truly successful adaptive reuse project which blends the old with the new, and Fuscoe is thankful to have been a part of Brookfield’s design team. Well done, Brookfield!
