Ranch Camp at Rienda

Rancho Mission Viejo | Rancho Mission Viejo Company

Ranch Camp at Rienda is a 9.2-acre recreational facility that is remarkable for its size and the exceptional range of unique amenities it provides for residents, including:

  • Ranch Cove, a 20,000 sf lagoon-style pool
  • The Workout, an open-air pavilion with fitness center and view of lap pool
  • Event Barn, an open-air venue for parties and line-dancing
  • Event Lawn & Picnic Area
  • Heritage House & Pasture
  • Discovery House (visitor center)
  • The Nature House
  • Trailhead & Parking Areas

Project Story: Precise design was required due to intricate piping beneath the lagoon-style pool. Fuscoe Engineering’s services for Ranch Camp included survey staking; conceptual engineering and site development plans; grading, sewer, domestic water, drainage and storm drain plans; underground fire and composite utility plans; cut/fill exhibit and as-builts; and SDG&E and SMWD Easements.

Samueli Gym & Soccer Field

Santa Ana | Orangewood Foundation

Samueli Academy is an exceptional public charter school on 7.1 acres dedicated to foster children in grades 7 through 12, which consistently places in the top 6% of schools in both the state and the country. The campus expansion consisted of three phases:

  • Design and construction of a new Student Innovation Center and Middle School
  • A Student Residential Building (for students with undesirable home placements, the first such school of its kind)
  • Construction of a new Gymnasium and CIF Soccer Field.

Project Story: The stormwater treatment design for the new CIF Soccer Field was challenging. Infiltration tanks were carefully configured/designed to fit underground within this tight site.

TopGolf

Ontario | TopGolf

This new TopGolf Sports Bar & Restaurant complex sits on 13.7 acres adjacent to Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park in Ontario. The three-level, 600,000 sf high-tech entertainment complex features 102 golf hitting bays, a full-service restaurant, bar, 200 TVs, rooftop terrace with fire pit and social/corporate event space.

Project Story: Project site challenges included installation of a new storm drain and obtaining a waiver through the State Water Resources Board to design and place a recycled water line above the domestic water main.

Maruta Gardner Playground
at Bonita Cove

San Diego | Schmidt Design Group

The improvements to the Maruta Gardner Playground at Bonita Cove Park include the renovation of the half-acre playground, replacement of the comfort station, a new shade structure, enhanced security lighting, and sidewalk and pedestrian curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards.

Project Story: Fuscoe worked with the City of San Diego to qualify the project as a Standard Development Project. The team incorporated permeable concrete and infiltration below the play surfaces avoiding stringent storm water requirements.
